A high-level delegation from Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH), led by Minister of Energy, Mining, and Industry Vedran Lakić, is visiting Algeria to enhance bilateral cooperation in the energy sector. The discussions focus on strengthening partnerships in renewable energy, infrastructure, and strategic energy projects.
Algeria Strengthens Energy Ties with Bosnia and Herzegovina

Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) is strengthening energy ties with Algeria through an official visit led by Energy Minister Vedran Lakić. The delegation met with Algerian Energy Minister Mohamed Arkab and key industry leaders, including executives from Sonelgaz, Sonarem, and Sonatrach.

Minister Arkab highlighted the long-standing cooperation between the two nations and expressed confidence in expanding future projects. Lakić reaffirmed BiH’s commitment to energy investments, particularly through Energoinvest, which plays a crucial role in Algeria’s market.

Energoinvest Director Ustamujić emphasized the company’s reputation for quality and its strong government support. Mourad Adjal of Sonelgaz reiterated Algeria’s dedication to joint energy projects, aiming to leverage both countries’ expertise.

This visit marks a key step in deepening collaboration, with plans to enhance energy security, renewables, and infrastructure development. Both sides anticipate increased cooperation and strategic partnerships in the evolving energy landscape.
