European tech entrepreneurs received a boost with the announcement of a new €400 million fund from Plural, an early-stage investment firm based in Tallinn and London.

Founded in 2022, Plural aims to bridge the gap between European startup founders and investors with real-world entrepreneurial experience. This is particularly relevant considering Plural's data, indicating only 8% of European venture capitalists have actually founded companies themselves.

The fund surpassed its initial target and attracted investments from a range of prestigious institutions, including university endowments, foundations, and global family offices. Plural's diverse team, consisting of 15 members operating from Tallinn and London, boasts investors like Taavet Hinrikus (co-founder of Wise), Carina Namih, Ian Hogarth, and Khaled Helioui.

Plural has already invested in 26 companies across various European countries (Denmark, Estonia, Germany, Netherlands, UK) and the US. Their focus areas include sectors like Artificial Intelligence, frontier technologies, climate solutions, and energy.
