Fourlis Holdings has announced a significant expansion in the sportswear industry through a new strategic partnership with Foot Locker. The agreement includes acquiring Foot Locker’s existing store network in Greece and Romania and exclusive licensing deals to develop Foot Locker stores across six additional Southeast European markets: Bulgaria, Cyprus, Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia & Herzegovina, and Montenegro.

Currently, Foot Locker operates six stores in Greece and Romania, and the acquisition is expected to close in the first half of 2025. The partnership marks a major step for the Fourlis Group, which already represents well-known brands like IKEA, INTERSPORT, and HOLLAND & BARRETT in the region.

Southeast Europe is one of the fastest-growing markets in sports retail, with the sector expected to reach €3.7 billion by 2026. The partnership will allow Fourlis to develop more than 100 physical stores and eight online platforms, meeting the growing demand for sportswear and sneakers, especially among the Gen-Z demographic.

Foot Locker’s focus on the sports lifestyle and sneaker market complements Fourlis’ existing portfolio, particularly its INTERSPORT brand, providing a comprehensive sportswear offering in the region. The expansion will be supported by Fourlis’ extensive infrastructure, including its state-of-the-art logistics center in Athens.
