Hugo Boss is set to shift its production focus towards Europe and America, aligning its manufacturing operations more closely with its sales markets. CEO Daniel Grieder articulated this strategy in an interview with "Welt am Sonntag," emphasising the inefficiency of shipping goods across continents in today's global climate.

Grieder cited geopolitical tensions as a significant factor behind this decision. "We aim to reduce our dependence on specific regions for procurement and production, even though it might be cheaper to produce solely in Asia," he explained. However, the company does not plan to establish new factories. Instead, it will enhance production capabilities through existing suppliers in Turkey, Italy, and Germany.

Beyond this strategic shift, Hugo Boss is also exploring opportunities for expansion through acquisitions. Grieder stated that the company is open to acquiring brands within its financial capacity, including those in fashion, footwear, and accessories. Additionally, Hugo Boss is considering the creation of new internal labels, possibly in collaboration with celebrities. One such collaboration includes working with David Beckham, which Grieder suggested could evolve into a separate brand.
