Swiss hearing aid manufacturer Sonova has unveiled the world's first hearing aid with real-time artificial intelligence (AI), the Sphere Infinio. This groundbreaking device, along with the new Infinio platform, uses AI to enhance speech clarity in noisy environments, a significant advancement in the hearing aid market.

Sonova, a leading Swiss hearing aid manufacturer, has introduced the Sphere Infinio, a revolutionary hearing aid powered by real-time AI. This marks a significant milestone in the industry as it is the first hearing aid to utilise AI to improve speech understanding in noisy environments.

The Sphere Infinio, built on the new Infinio platform, employs a proprietary DEEPSONIC chip with 53 times more processing power than current industry standards. This technology enables the device to separate speech from background noise, significantly enhancing the user's hearing experience.  

The launch of Sphere Infinio and the Infinio platform is expected to boost Sonova's growth in the second half of the fiscal year. While the hearing aid market has shown signs of slowing down in Europe and the U.S., Sonova remains confident in its full-year targets, citing the potential of its new products to drive sales.  

Sonova CEO Arnd Kaldowski expressed optimism about the market's reaction to the innovative technology, emphasising that the real-time AI capability will be available to consumers this year. Analysts also view the launch as a positive step for Sonova, with the potential to accelerate growth and solidify the company's position in the market.
