Uber is making waves this summer with a series of new boating services designed to enhance travel experiences in some of Europe's most popular destinations. This expansion comes in response to a significant increase in demand for Uber's mobility services in tourist hotspots, particularly in Greece and Spain, where demand from international customers grew by up to 55% last summer.

Uber Yacht Sets Sail in Ibiza

The most luxurious offering, Uber Yacht, will debut in Ibiza this August. Customers can pre-book a private Sunseeker yacht directly through the Uber app for a day of sailing around the island. The eight-hour trip, priced at €1600, includes a personal skipper, a bottle of champagne, artisan snacks, and transfers to and from the yacht from anywhere on the island. Pre-booking begins on July 26th, with service available throughout August.

Additional Boat Services

  • Venice: Starting in July, visitors to Venice can use the Uber app to hail an on-demand "Limo Boat" to navigate the Venetian Lagoon. The service costs €120 per trip and can accommodate up to six people.
  • Greece: Uber Boat, already available in Mykonos, will expand to Athens, Corfu, and Santorini.
  • Paris: Tourists in Paris can enjoy a free one-hour private tour down the Seine River on an all-electric Uber Cruise boat, taking in iconic landmarks like Notre Dame, the Louvre, and the Eiffel Tower.

Increased Demand

The launch of these new services is driven by data showing increased demand for Uber's services in Europe's tourist hotspots. Over 6.5 million international customers used the Uber app in Europe's most popular destinations last summer, with Ibiza alone seeing over 800,000 users in the past 12 months.
